Coaching.
Coaching is an individualized one-on-one process that builds a person’s capacity to achieve short- and long-term personal, professional, and organizational goals. Coaching enables new perspectives and greater awareness and intentionality by creating clarity of purpose, understanding of impact, and awareness of beliefs and drivers behind behaviors and decisions.
Getting coaching is not the same as talking with a mentor, consultant, counselor, or career counselor. When you work with a coach, you partner with them as equals in a one-on-one, thought-provoking, inquiry-based process. You, the client, choose the focus of the conversation and benefit from the coach exercising competencies in a confidential relationship within a formal coaching agreement to help you move forward with your most important, self-selected goals.
Coaching works on the belief that coach and client are equal partners in the process: clients are already resourceful and capable, and that the work should be goal-oriented, solution-focused with observable outcomes.
